| These pages feature Model Horses that I have customised and painted, from newly completed to my very first attempts! My work has now proven itself in live shows in the UK, winning classes, placing in classes, and qualifying for MECS and BILS, the UK equivalents of the NAN in America. NOTE: With regards Model Horse customs by myself... I generally airbrush models with acrylics, but I am using pastels a lot more now, for shading and details - such as the pinking to the muzzle of the horse pictured below. I handpaint most details with acrylics though, including my 5 colour eyes which are very realistic. Any white shown on the eye is a reflection from the gloss finish - I do not paint white on the eye, except where the membrane shows, if applicable. I am especially proud of the realistic and liquid look of my eyes. I also use pastels and coloured pencils in my hooves. I have included a lot of older pieces on my website, and you may wonder why, or think that they are not very good... well, every artist takes a journey where their work improves with every piece they do, or they learn a new technique, etc, and I am proud to see how my work has evolved, and I how I hope to see it improve and improve.
