2006 Puppies

I have always grown up with animals in my life, and they are now an engrained way of life for me. I have always had dogs and dog breeding in my background (my Nan bred Shelties for over 30 years), and so it was only natural I wanted to buy my own dogs and look to breed them as soon as I got my own home. Beagles were always a strong favourite of mine, and when I started researching breeds, they fit into my life perfectly! I knew I wanted a tri-colour dog and then to wait a year and have a tan and white bitch. Through an extremely lucky set of circumstances, I was blessed with Beanie and Minx in this sequence. They suit their names wonderfully, in case you were wondering!

Beanie, born in 2003, is a 15 inch athletic tri-colour dog with a laid back character. He loves to play though!

Minx, born in 2004, is a 13 inch stocky tan and white bitch, again with a very laid back character.

Both dogs enjoy a healthy and happy leadless life - e.g. they can be walked off the lead safely and obediently. It is common myth that Beagles cannot be walked off the lead, and though they can be stubborn and follow a scent every now and then they are on the whole very trainable.

Beanie and Minx had their first litter of puppies in 2006 - you can click on the link to the left to see information and photos.

We are hoping for another litter of Beagle puppies in 2007. Beagles are becoming increasingly popular as more and more people put aside the hunting stigma and realise that they are a good sized, good tempered family dog.
